Four Promises, In Writing
Trusting INKY.Studio means handing over your client list, your enquiries and your deposits. These are the four things we will not do with them — stated plainly, so you can hold us to them.
Promise one
We never take a cut of your work.
No commission. Not on deposits, not on balances, not on anything, ever. Your client's deposit is charged on your Stripe account, not ours, and it settles there: INKY.Studio adds no platform fee to it and takes no percentage out of it. There is no rate to look up, because there is no rate.
Stripe's own card processing fee is yours, as it would be with any provider. Stripe charges it for handling the card and takes it from your Stripe balance — the same fee you would pay taking that payment through Stripe without us. It is Stripe's fee, set by Stripe. We add nothing to it and receive no part of it.
We make our money from your monthly subscription. If we ever charge for anything else, it will be for something that costs us money to run — never for a slice of what your client pays you.
Promise two
We never market to your clients. Only you do.
Your clients are yours, and nothing that reaches them is for our benefit. We never email them about INKY.Studio, never advertise another artist or another business to them, and never sell, rent or hand their details to anybody for marketing.
What they do get are your messages, sent from your own mailbox with your name on them. Most are the ones a booking creates — answering the enquiry they started, arranging a time, sending a deposit link, confirming or cancelling what was agreed. Some are sends you choose to make: if you decide to invite your own past clients back, we build the button, but it is your email, from your address, to your clients, about your studio — and every one carries a one-click way for them to stop hearing it.
Beyond that, their details go only to the services that actually deliver the message or take the payment on your behalf. Those are named in our Privacy Policy, and the list is short.
Promise three
We never point your client at another artist.
Someone who messages you hears about you and about nobody else. We do not offer alternatives when you are booked up, we do not recommend a cheaper artist, and we never turn the enquiries you attracted into a directory that sends work elsewhere. The assistant answering for you is bound to you alone: it cannot see another artist's prices, availability or work, so it has nothing else to suggest.
If we ever build a way for clients to find artists, it will be something a client has to go looking for, and something each artist has to switch on for themselves. It will never be a suggestion we put in front of your client uninvited.
Promise four
You can leave, and your client list leaves with you.
We would rather you stayed because the product earns it than because your client list is trapped in it. So we have put a hard condition on ourselves, and this is it:
We will not take our first paying customer until you can export your client list yourself — in a standard, portable format, whenever you want, without asking us.
And whether or not that button is in front of you today, the data is yours either way: email hello@inkystudio.ai and we will send you your client list. We will not make leaving into a support ticket you have to fight.
Holding us to it
These four promises are not a tone of voice. Promise one is written into our Terms of Service, and how we handle your clients' data is set out in our Privacy Policy. If you think we have broken one of them, say so to a human: hello@inkystudio.ai.
